Cast iron flap valves
Cast iron flap valves reliably prevent backflow from bodies of water, channels, or receiving waters into pipelines and structures. They have been proven in municipal and industrial hydraulic engineering for decades and continue to represent an economical solution for many standard applications.
The cast iron products come from our former product range and remain available at short notice depending on remaining stock. TESACO offers various series – from simple pipe flap valves to robust flap valves with a metallic bronze sealing ring.
Product features
- Cast iron construction with high-quality corrosion protection coating
- Economical standard and robust industrial versions
- Dowel, flange, and concrete grout versions
- Optionally with pendulum weight or flange adapter
- Replaceable seals depending on the series
- Selected standard sizes available at short notice depending on stock levels
- Technical advice on selection and design
Pipe flap valve type G10-003 – Economical standard solution
The G10-003 series pipe flap valves are our most economical cast iron design. They are suitable for most standard applications in the water and wastewater sector and impress with their simple and proven design. The series is available as a dowel or flange version.
Advantages
- Particularly economical
- Robust construction
- Low dead weight
- Many sizes available at short notice from stock
- Ideal for standard applications

Flap valves type G10-020 – robust industrial design
The G10-020 series features a replaceable metallic bronze sealing ring and a particularly robust construction. It is suitable for applications with increased mechanical requirements and is available in various installation versions.
Advantages
- Robust grey cast iron construction
- Replaceable bronze sealing ring
- Long service life
- For demanding operating conditions
- Various installation variants available
Other flap valves
In addition to the gray cast iron versions still available, our current product range includes stainless steel flap valves as well as flex flap valves.
The stainless steel variants can cover the classic applications of cast iron flap valves at least as effectively, while at the same time being significantly more adaptable to different dimensions, installation situations, and technical requirements. For new designs and project-specific solutions, we therefore generally recommend our stainless steel flap valves.
We would be happy to check whether an existing cast iron version makes sense for your application or whether a stainless steel or flex flap valve represents the better solution.
