Cast iron penstocks are a proven solution for municipal water and wastewater systems. They impress with their robust construction, high stability, and an attractive price-performance ratio. TESACO supplies round and square penstocks in various mounting types as well as with the same operating variants as our stainless steel penstocks.

Installation types

Cast Iron Penstocks are available for various installation situations.

Dowelled version

The dowelled version is suitable for subsequent installation on existing concrete structures and is the most frequently used design.

Concrete casting version

The concrete casting version is cast in concrete during the construction of the structure. This creates a permanently positive connection between the structure and the penstock. This type of installation is only available for Cast Iron Penstocks and is particularly suitable for new buildings as well as large penstock dimensions. The concrete casting version is available for both round and square Cast Iron Penstocks.

Flange version

For pipelines, Cast Iron Penstocks are also available as a flange version. We would be happy to check on request whether a suitable flange adapter is available for the desired nominal diameter.

Cast Iron Penstocks make sense in these applications

Cast Iron Penstocks are particularly suitable for classic municipal water and wastewater facilities where a robust and economical standard solution is required. Thanks to the concrete casting version, they are also an interesting option for new buildings.

The Cast Iron Penstocks come from our former product range and remain available depending on the remaining stock. Applications and designs that are no longer covered by the remaining cast iron program can be implemented at least equivalently and, as a rule, much more flexibly with our Stainless Steel Penstocks. This applies in particular to special dimensions, different installation types and project-specific designs.
